A traditional Trulli in Gozo

Introduction

Welcome to Nobby Giles Imaging. Thank you for taking the time to browse through some of my photographs. I hope you enjoy viewing them.

I started photography as a hobby in the spring of 2003 whilst on holiday in Cornwall. I had been given an Olympus OM30 with the standard 50mm ƒ1.8 lens by a family member who had used it during their phtography GCSE some 10 years earlier but had seen their interest in the subject decline. Whilst I had used an SLR before all the setup had been done by the relative owner of the camera, so all I had to do was focus and press the shutter. It was my wife's father who before losing his sight had previously worked in the professional photographic development business, explained how to use the camera descibing the creative control that an SLR can give you and the correlation between aperture and shutter speed.

Since then I have added several more Olympus OM system bodies (OM-1, OM-2N, OM-4 and OM-PC) to the stable, plus numerous Olympus Zuiko & third party lenses and accessories as well as a Bronica ETRSI Medium Format (645) camera with 75mm & 50mm lenses and a point & shoot Canon digital. My favourite subjects are currently Landscapes, Horses and Flora with the Zuiko 21mm ƒ3.5, 28mm ƒ2.8, 35-70mm ƒ3.6 and 50mm ƒ3.5 being the most commonly used for these tasks.
